Welcome to Room 218!

My name is Elizabeth Bergum. I teach third grade at Bethune. I have taught at Bethune since the fall of 1991.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth and earned my Masters degree from St.Thomas University.

I have taught Kindergarten, second grade, and third grade.

We have a great class this year. We are working hard and we already have had some wonderful learning experiences. Thank you for all your support and having the children ready to learn when they arrive at school.

The students get homework Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Every Friday I send home a progress report so you can see how your child is doing in school. Please sign and send back to school. If you have any questions, the progress report is a great tool to communicate with me.

I have high expectations for all of my students and I believe that all children can learn! I also want the children

to enjoy learning and have fun! Your child might mention I love pigs, We have several special pigs in our room that help make learning fun.

If you have any questions or need to get ahold of me, you can either call my voice or email me. The office is not allowed to put calls through during the school day.

My voice mail #:  612-668-7283, I try to check either early in the morning or after school.

My e-mail is:  elizabeth.bergum@mpls.k12.mn.us

Please remember that if your child is taking a different bus home or getting picked up I need to have a note from home. If your child goes to the after-school program I also need a note if they need to miss a day. Thanks again for your help. It makes our life easier and we get more time to learn. Our goal is to keep all our students safe.

I know we will have a great year and look forward to working with to working with you.
