Welcome to the 3rd Grade!
3rd grade is such an exciting year and there are many new skills we will be learning this year. We will build upon 2nd grade skills and start to explore multiplication, division and fractions to develope a love for math! The focus of reading instruction also changes from learning-to-read to reading-to-learn. It is my goal to help each student enjoy learning and become successful!
This is my first year teaching at Bethune Community School. I taught for three years prior to joining my wonderful 3rd grade team and staff at Bethune. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota in 2008 and my Masters of Education from the the University of St. Thomas in 2011. I am from Green Bay, WI (Go Pack Go!), where my family still resides. I have spent the past 10 years making Minneapolis my home and am proud to say that my enthusiastic 3rd graders at Bethune are a large part of my love for the Twin Cities!
